Batik Wall Hanging | Kelli Murray
I remember trying batik in high school and just loving it. It’s a beautiful art form and almost magic when you take off the wax and reveal the pattern. As you can see you can do whatever design you want, or do a Google search to have a look at the more traditional styles.

I am having a Holiday party and using this idea! Once the party is over you can just blow out the candle!
DIY Balloon Ice Sculpture and Lanterns Tutorial from willowday. We’re now getting a blast of cold air after Hurricane Sandy so I love these! For ice glasses and candles go here.
This is really cool.
No, you’re not mistaken - I have indeed made a Monty Python Ministry of Silly Walks clock! I was inspired by this wristwatch, but that was a bit too expensive for me to buy and too difficult for me to make myself.
So instead I made this on a 20x20 cm canvas, onto which I decoupaged the clock’s face (the numbers and John Cleese’s upper body :P). For the clock’s hands I cut out suitable legs from this image and did a bit of photoshopping to improve the image quality. I then used a harder kind of plastic folder, onto which I decoupaged and afterwards cut out the legs. These I glued onto regular clock hands which I had bought (and later cut off so only the attachment at the top remained for adding the legs to the clockwork). I made a hole in the middle of the canvas, put in a clockwork, attached the hands — aaand done!
Things I bought:
Canvas
Clockwork and hands
Decoupage glue and brush (and any other stuff needed for decoupage)Things I printed:
Clock face with numbers and upper body
Legs for clock handsOther things I ended up needing:
Plastic folder
Black marker (for hiding white edges)
Awl
Razor blade
Wire cutters
Small brush for touch-ups

Cloud Lights - First, you need some cotton batting, a paper lantern, and three flameless candles, the type that Glade sells. Pull at the cotton batting until it looks fluffy, light, and cloud-like. Then, hot glue it to the outside of the paper lantern in various places. Make sure it´s fluffed to your liking, then light the lights and stick them inside. Hang the lantern wherever you´d like.

I know this isn’t beauty related but its super cool! Mix Elmer’s glue with food coloring to paint onto anything glass to create a seaglass effect when dry.
Found on pinterest.
SO cool.

You can make these flower lights by modifying this tutorial—I just staggered two rows of petals (5 per row), left out the center part, and pushed lightbulbs through.
